ON THE TRANSITION OF GRACE’S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

APRIL 15, 2025

With a heavy heart, we share that Pete Singer, GRACE’s Executive Director, is in the process of stepping back from responsibilities at GRACE as his journey with cancer leads him into hospice care.

Our gratitude for Pete cannot be expressed in words. In late 2020, Pete began his work with GRACE as our founder, Boz Tchividjian, transitioned into private law practice. Leading during a time of growth for GRACE, Pete served alongside a diligent leadership team: Zane Hart, Mike Sloan, and Robert Peters, among others. It is hard to fully account for the myriad of ways in which GRACE has been shaped by Pete’s leadership. His kindness, compassion, and care are felt at every level of the organization. His rigorous insistence on following trauma-informed practices brought encouragement and hope to staff. His faithfulness and hopefulness in this work has left an indelible mark on the Christian community, even in ways that are yet to be realized. We ask for your prayers for Pete and his loved ones during this time.

The work of GRACE is an incredible privilege that the team has always endeavoured to steward with excellence and compassion, and Pete Singer has done this with great care. GRACE’s mission to empower Christian communities to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse is not limited to any one person, but to our collective whole, as those who seek to embody God’s care and love to the vulnerable and oppressed. At GRACE, we have a team of dedicated and incredible individuals who will continue to carry our mission and work forward.

The Board of Directors and leadership team are collaborating and committed to a smooth leadership transition toward a long-term successor. With the full support of the leadership team and Board of Directors,  Zane Hart will assume the role of interim Executive Director. We ask for your continued prayers for the days ahead as we grieve for our friend and colleague, while continuing to serve faith communities through the lens of our mission, in honor of Christ’s command to care for “the least of these.” (Matthew 25:34-45)
